Interview #01 - Blair Kesseler

Blair was interviewed by Jane on Tuesday 30 October 2007.  The weather was dry and sunny.  The interview started at St Basil's on Heath Mill Lane and they walked in a circuit up to Fazeley Street, down River Street and Floodgate Street to reach the High Street.  They walked up the High Street and then backtracked before walking back to St Basil's along Heath Mill Lane.

Blair gave us a series of photos which can be seen on Flickr.  Four of these are of the Banks and Davis works, with a fifth showing George and Ada Roper who owned the General Stores on Digbeth High Street, which subsequently became the chip shop now run by Mustafa Yalluri.

This page contains some extracts from the interview with Blair, but you can read the full transcript here.
